It´s a study suppose so probably you must find the shorter way to checkmate.
I´m not because for me the most easy it´s take the way with less variants to think .... so I proposed this way of find checkmate that go on with check all the time ;)... if not d8=D that I suppose it´s obviously the solution of this puzzle ... but this way it´s more funny
1 Cf6+ Rg6 ( if other ... d8=D and it´s finished shortly, In future I comment as d8=D F.S.) 2 Bc2+ Rxf ( other move ... d8=D F.S again )3.d=D8+ Rf7 (Rg7 F.S) 4. De7+ Rg8 .... and the rest it´s easy ( Dh7+,Dh6+,Ag6+ ...and two checks mores for the checkmate )
More funny could be consider you have to do checkmate moving always white to make check ;) .... It´s possible ... Not sure ( almost only ) but I think white need at least 9 moves
